The Horse’s Neck cocktail was initially a non-alcoholic beverage consisting of a combination of ginger ale, ice and lemon peel. By the 1910s, bartenders had began including brandy to the combo, giving us the cocktail we now have as we speak. The drink is identifiable by the lengthy, curling spiral of lemon rind garnish.
